London Marathon 25 April 2010
This is a record of my training schedule leading up to the big day.
Three long training runs completed so far. one 14mile and two 16mile

Running regular 7 and 10 mile runs, but legs aching more and more.
6th Dec, have had a cold this last week, so no training. Might be a blessing for the legs.
Resumed running on 16th Dec with a 7 mile run,
18th Dec 11 mile run
21st Dec 7 mile run
27th Dec 6 mile run
30th Dec completed best ever, a 19 mile run, have not moved all day since.
6th January ran 7 miles, very hard, can't have recovered from long run yet.
11th January ran slow 7 miles, ankle hurts? back hurts from building snowman. will rest for a few days
Another 7 and 10 mile run completed in Jan
1st Feb only completed 10 of an 11 mile run, ankle really hurt and had to stop. WORRYING.
11th Feb Have not ran since 1st Feb, ankle still hurts. VERY WORRYING, running out of time (excuse the pun)
18th Feb Still not run, working out at the gym to keep fit.
2nd March Tried a half hour run down by the river Ouse in Bedford [working away] run was ok, but the following morning ankle was quite sore. things are not looking good for the marathon on the 25th of April.
5th March half hour run in gym
9th March 50 minute run down by the river Ouse again, ankle sore in morning.
10th March 60 minute run along the river again, ankle sore again in morning, but no worse than the day before.
12th March 10 minute run down the gym to test ankle after the last couple of runs.
13th March Make or break run. achieved 13.5 miles, ankle not to bad. Ow no marathon might be back on.
17th March 60 minute run, ankle a bit sore, may need to rest a bit from the long run at weekend.
20th March 8 mile run
23rd March Half hour run on tread mill.
24th March 9 mile run.
